In response to the growing public health crisis caused by the COVID-19 pandemic and the United States government’s inadequate response, Detention Watch Network (along with California Immigrant Youth Justice Alliance, Grassroots Leadership, Just Futures Law, Immigrant Legal Resource Center, La Resistencia, and the South East Immigrant Rights Network) developed this working toolkit to help guide and support the work of organizations and individuals looking to demand the release of people in ICE custody.


The toolkit includes:

  • Federal, State, Regional, & Local Strategy Information

  • Templates & Resources for Lawyers

  • Communications Resources, including editable graphics you can adapt to your local fight

  • Tips & Recommendations to Prepare to Welcome those Released
